"OPEN SOURCE THEATRE" Et Compagnie, créateur de Philtre, élargie son champs d’actions et surtout de rencontres. Avec 3 autres compagnies professionnelles européennes (Ad Lib en suède, Die Gorillas en Allemagne et Strichting Buurthuis Princensluis aux Pays-Bas) nous sortons de nos frontières et allons découvrir d’autres quartiers d’Europe. A chaque fois l’équipe d’artistes qui "philtre" sur place est composées d’un beau mélange de nos nationalités et c’est en anglais que nous échangeons et que nous vous présentons nos spectacles. Philtre Europe is a performance that catches the soul and the spirit of a certain geographical area. For approximately one day the performers visit the area and try to get as much information and inspiration as possible from talking to the people who live there and by observing the location. Philtre as a performance format was born from the wish of giving a real feedback of Lyon’s districts as an opposite of the superficial pictures that media provides us with. The Philtre performance is an improvised theatre show. PhiltreEurope is an international cooperation between theatre and social workers from France, Germany, Netherlands and Sweden. The project was initiated by Et Compagnie from Lyon, France. During the project a European version of Philtre is growing and Philtre should be looked upon as a work in progress.
